Three Doctors FUI
Dr Nuttorn has pioneered the groundbreaking 3 Drs FUI Procedure, which not only shortens the duration of the treatment but also guarantees that our patients receive continuous care from a certified doctor from start to finish of the surgical process.
3 Drs, a Symphony of Efficiency
Typically in a hair transplant procedure, a surgeon is supported by a team of nurses and technicians. In contrast, DHI Thailand has developed a groundbreaking surgical system that distributes surgical responsibilities among three collaborating surgeons.
While the DHI technique with the Choi Implanter inherently optimizes efficiency, employing a 3-Dr team takes it a step further. This innovative approach is designed to comply with the “6 Hour Rule,” which is crucial for achieving the best possible outcome for individuals undergoing a hair transplant.
Preparing the patient
The first step see us prepare the patient for their FUI Hair Transplant. This involves the consult with head surgeon followed by a scalp assessment scan, vitamins and minerals test, blood tests and if required a hair cut/shave for short hair (shaved) procedures. It will culminate with the preparation of the donor site for graft extraction.
Graft Extractions
In this phase, the nominated surgeon employs a specialised instrument to retrieve donor grafts from the designated donor site on the patient. While it is common to source donor grafts from the back and sides of scalp, alternative donor regions may be utilised in certain situations. In an Advanced FUI procedure, grafts are meticulously extracted individually. The method of extractions ensures that no linear scar is left on the donor area.
Graft Preservation
As grafts are harvested, our team implements proactive strategies to ensure their preservation for future implantation. After a graft is removed from the donor site, it undergoes a cleaning process, is categorised based on the hair count, and is immersed in a specialised plasma solution that enhances viability. The grafts are then stored in Petri dishes and kept refrigerated until they are ready for implantation
Graft Implantation
After extracting the grafts, the surgeon proceeds to implant them utilising the DHI (Choi) Implanter Pen. A team of nurses carefully loads each graft into the Implanter Pens individually and hands them to the surgeon. This implantation technique enables the placement of grafts among existing hair, resulting in a remarkably high density of implantation. The head surgeon maintains complete control over the angle of implantation, which is a distinctive advantage of the DHI (Choi) Implanter Pen.
Cleaning & Recovery
At this stage, the patient’s implant and donor sites are meticulously cleaned before being wrapped up for overnight protection. Throughout this time, the patient is closely monitored as they gradually recover from the anesthesia. It is only after the patient has safely emerged from the significant effects of the anesthesia that they are cleared and helped to change and proceed to their home or hotel.
Daily Care & Support
Every Hairline patient is given daily scalp cleanses from the nursing team, typically starting with two cleanses each day, along with regular check-ups by the Doctor. Additionally, they receive antibiotics to facilitate quicker healing of both the donor and implant areas. If necessary, they may also be given extra pain relief (which is uncommon) or sleeping pills to ensure a more restful night.
Finally, on the night of procedure Nuttorn Hair Centre staff will accompany (with our driver) a patient back to the lobby of their hotel to ensure they reach their place of rest safely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is 3 Drs better than 1 Dr with assistants?
It comes down to skill, experience and the proficiency acquired through years of performing hair transplants. This level of experience allows for greater independence in making ongoing minor surgical decisions without needing prior approval from a physician, which is often required when a nurse or technician is involved in certain aspects of the procedure. Collectively, these elements contribute to a reduction in the time patients spend on the operating table by approximately 30% to 50%.
If 3 Drs is better why don't other clinics do the same?
It’s hard to make blanket statements about other clinics, but if we had to speculate, it likely boils down to cost. Having three doctors conduct a hair transplant is considerably pricier than having one doctor supported by technicians or assistants. At Hairline, our senior surgical team has been collaborating for over ten years, and the efficiencies we’ve built together allow us to complete surgeries more quickly, ultimately reducing the overall cost associated with the time doctors spend in the procedure room. Finally the use of the Choi Implanter pen (only available to official DHI Clinics) adds another layer of efficiency.
Lots of clinics use the term 'DHI' how are you different?
Hairline is a partner of DHI Thailand which has the huge benefit of operating as an official DHI Global clinic. This distinction goes beyond mere franchise status; our surgeons have received specialized training and certification from both DHI Global and the London Hair Restoration Training Academy (LHRTA). Additionally, only licensed DHI clinics are authorized to utilize the exclusive Choi Implanter pen, a tool that has been developed and copyrighted specifically for DHI Clinics. The Choi Implanter pen enhances the speed, safety, and success rate of hair implantation procedures.
